Terms of Service

Last updated: 31 July 2026

These terms govern your use of SketchCast AI (“SketchCast”, “we”, “us”) — the service at sketchcast.app and app.sketchcast.app that turns textbook chapters into narrated lessons, decks, videos, worksheets, and an optional AI study assistant. The service is operated by Aethel Twin Sdn. Bhd., Registration No. 202601012908 (1675006-X), registered at D-1-1, Bangi Gateway Shopping Complex, Persiaran Pekeliling, Seksyen 15, 43650 Bandar Baru Bangi, Selangor, Malaysia. By creating an account or using the service you agree to these terms. If you accept them on behalf of a school, you confirm you are authorised to do so.

1. Accounts

2. The service and AI-generated content

SketchCast uses artificial intelligence to generate teaching materials from content you upload. AI-generated material can contain errors or omissions. Teachers must review generated lessons, worksheets, exams, and answer keys before classroom use — the service assists your teaching judgment; it does not replace it. Automatic quiz scoring is a convenience and may be overridden by the teacher.

3. Your content

4. Acceptable use

Don’t misuse the service: no unlawful content, no attempting to access data outside your role or school, no probing or disrupting the systems, no reselling the service, and no use that harms students. We may suspend accounts that break these rules.

The diary is for communication about a child’s learning and care. Keep notes relevant and respectful — no abusive, defamatory, or irrelevant content about children, families, or staff. The diary is not a monitored or emergency channel: notes may not be read until the next school day, so for anything urgent — including a medical matter — contact the school directly.

5. Free and paid plans

SketchCast offers a free tier and paid plans (for example teacher and parent subscriptions, and school plans), as described on our pricing page. Paid plans renew for the billing period you choose until you cancel; you can cancel at any time and will keep access until the end of the paid period. Fees are stated exclusive of taxes unless noted, and are handled by our payment providers (see the Privacy Policy). Except where the law requires otherwise, payments already made are non-refundable. We may change plans, features, and pricing with reasonable notice; we will not retroactively charge for what you already used for free, and a price change will not affect the period you have already paid for.

6. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy — including how we protect students — is part of these terms.

7. Availability, disclaimers, and liability

The service is provided “as is”, in active development, and without warranties of uninterrupted availability or error-free output. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim (or RM 100 if you paid nothing). Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

8. Termination

You may stop using the service and request deletion at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that violate these terms. Schools may export their materials before closure by downloading them from the dashboard.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia, and disputes are subject to the courts of Selangor, Malaysia.

10. Changes

We may update these terms as the service evolves. We will post changes here and notify account holders of material changes; continued use after a change means acceptance.
